По дороге на чужбину вÑе голодали, Ð²ÐºÐ»ÑŽÑ‡Ð°Ñ Ð´ÐµÐ´Ð° ДмитриÑ — Гулама, которому тогда было 9 лет. Его определили в туркменÑкий детÑкий дом, где и дали азербайджанÑкую фамилию. Дед, помимо руÑÑкого Ñзыка, владел также арабÑким и туркменÑким. Супруга Гулама (ÐиколаÑ) Ðагиева, ГертрудаСопке, была наполовину немкой, наполовину латышкой. Её предками были прибалты Ñ Ñ„Ð°Ð¼Ð¸Ð»Ð¸ÐµÐ¹ Лейе и немцы Ñ Ñ„Ð°Ð¼Ð¸Ð»Ð¸ÐµÐ¹ Сопке. Дед по материнÑкой линии был первым Ñекретарём ПетроградÑкого райкома КПСС[1]. Ð’ Ñвоих программах Дмитрий Ðагиев чаÑто упоминает Ñвоего деда, Ñ†Ð¸Ñ‚Ð¸Ñ€ÑƒÑ ÐµÐ³Ð¾ фразы (или припиÑÑ‹Ð²Ð°Ñ ÐµÐ¼Ñƒ ÑобÑтвенные). Сам называет ÑÐµÐ±Ñ Ñ€ÑƒÑÑким: «Я Ñчитаю ÑÐµÐ±Ñ Ñ€ÑƒÑÑким правоÑлавным человеком».
