Pooja Hegde is an Indian actress and model who primarily works in the Telugu and Hindi film industries. She was born on October 13, 1990, in Mumbai, India. Pooja started her career as a model and was crowned as the second runner-up at the Miss Universe India 2010 competition.
She made her acting debut with the Tamil film “Mugamoodi” in 2012, but it was her role in the Telugu film “Oka Laila Kosam” in 2014 that brought her recognition. Since then, she has appeared in several Telugu and Hindi films, including “Mohenjo Daro”, “Duvvada Jagannadham”, “Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava”, and “Housefull 4”.
Pooja has received several awards and nominations for her performances in films. She was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu for her performance in the film “Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava”. She has also been listed among the most desirable women in India by various publications.
Pooja Hegde was born and brought up in Mumbai, India, to a family of Kannada-speaking parents. Her father, Manjunath Hegde, is a well-known dermatologist and her mother, Latha Hegde, is an accomplished classical dancer. She also has a brother named Rishabh Hegde.
Pooja completed her schooling from Mumbai’s private school M.M.K. College, and later went on to pursue a degree in Commerce from Mithibai College in Mumbai. However, she dropped out of college in her second year to pursue a career in modeling.
