Biography
Alastair Rae is a Steadicam operator known for work in international productions. Their contributions to camera department operations appear on three feature films, all released in the 2000s and early 2010s. Rae operated the Steadicam on The Constant Gardener (2005), a drama set in Kenya and based on John le Carré’s novel. The film follows a British diplomat investigating his wife’s murder, with cinematography by César Charlone.
Rae’s work continued with The Other Boleyn Girl (2008), a historical drama based on Philippa Gregory’s novel, where Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson play rival sisters at the Tudor court.
