He began his career as a storyboard artist and later transitioned into screenwriting and directing. Persichetti's notable work includes serving as a co-director for the critically acclaimed film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" (2018), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. He also contributed to the screenplay of "The Little Prince" (2015) and was an executive producer for "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" (2023). Additionally, Persichetti was thanked in the credits for "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish" (2022).
