He began his career as an animator and rigger, gradually working his way up to a supervisory role. Over the years, Hodgins has served as Visual Effects Supervisor on a wide range of feature films, many of which were produced by major studios. His credits include The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), Ender's Game (2013), Power Rangers (2017), as well as large-scale tentpoles such as Captain Marvel (2019) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017).
