Doug Chiang is a film designer and artist known for production design and visual effects work in major productions. Born on February 16, 1962 in Taipei, Taiwan, Chiang has contributed to several high-profile films across different genres. In 1990, Chiang served as Visual Effects Art Director on Ghost. By 1999, Chiang worked on Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace in an uncredited role as Flag Bearer. In 2004, Chiang took on Production Design for The Polar Express. Continuing in the same role, Chiang contributed to Beowulf in 2007, A Christmas Carol in 2009, and is set to work on Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu scheduled for 2026.
