Biography
Gary Freeman is a production designer and art director whose work has contributed to major international films across multiple genres. Freeman served as Standby Art Director on Saving Private Ryan, assisting in the creation of the film’s wartime environments. In Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Freeman worked as Assistant Art Director, supporting the visual design of the adventure-driven narrative. Freeman later held the title of Supervising Art Director on Children of Men, overseeing the construction and detailing of the film’s near-future dystopian world. Freeman’s role expanded to Supervising Art Director on Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, where the production design emphasized the film’s gothic and stylized Victorian London setting.
