He was known for his significant contributions to the sound department in cinema. Kurland's career spanned several notable films, including "The Good Fairy" in 1935, where he served as the sound supervisor. He also worked on "Bride of Frankenstein" in the same year, serving as the music supervisor. Kurland's final credited work was on the 1936 film "Flash Gordon," where he once again held the role of sound supervisor. Kurland passed away on February 26, 1978.
