Biography
Hajime Kaburagi was born on February 27, 1926 in Kanagawa, Japan. Active in the film industry as a composer and arranger, Kaburagi contributed original music to select productions during the 1960s and 1970s. Among his credited works is the score for Tokyo Drifter, a 1966 film widely noted for its stylized approach to the yakuza genre.
Kaburagi’s filmography also includes Conflagration, a 1975 drama for which he composed the original music, as well as Karate for Life, a 1977 martial arts film where he provided the score.
