Harry Solter

Harry Solter, born on November 17, 1873, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, was a prominent figure in the early American film industry. Known for his work as a director, Solter's career spanned over a decade, from 1908 to 1914.

Solter's directorial debut was in 1908 with the short film 'Ostler Joe', in which he also made a brief appearance as a wedding guest. He went on to direct several films, including 'The Rosary' and 'The Right Girl', both released in 1910. Solter's work was diverse, ranging from comedies like 'Higgenses Versus Judsons' and 'The Two Fathers' to dramas such as 'The Mad Man’s Ward' and 'The Coryphee'. His final known film, 'A Singular Cynic', was released in 1914.
