Illeana Douglas, born on July 25, 1961, in Quincy, Massachusetts, USA, is an American actress known for her roles in various films. She is the granddaughter of Hollywood Golden Age screen star Melvyn Douglas. Douglas began her acting career in the mid-1990s and has since appeared in several notable films. In 1996, she played Denise Waverly / Edna Buxton in "Grace of My Heart." She then went on to play Lina Paul in "Message in a Bottle" (1999) and Roberta Allsworth in "Ghost World" (2001). In 2006, Douglas portrayed Diana Vreeland in "Factory Girl." Throughout her career, Douglas has demonstrated versatility in her roles, showcasing her ability to portray diverse characters.
