In this role, Gasché supported the camera department during production, handling tasks associated with exposure, focus, and movement under the direction of the cinematographer.
By the mid-1970s, Gasché had moved into lighting roles, working as gaffer on The Story of Adèle H., a 1975 drama also directed by Rohmer. As gaffer, Gasché oversaw the design and execution of lighting setups to achieve the film’s visual tone.
