Joseph Alaskey was an American actor and voice artist known for roles in film. Born on April 17, 1952 in Troy, New York, Alaskey worked primarily in voice acting, contributing to animated and live-action productions. Among his credited film appearances, Alaskey provided the voice of President Nixon in Forrest Gump, a 1994 drama. In animated films, Alaskey voiced Grandpa Lou Pickles in The Rugrats Movie and Wembley in Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase.
Alaskey’s work spanned voice roles in major productions, often in supporting or cameo capacities. His performances included both animated characters and voice doubling for real-life figures in live-action films. He died on February 3, 2016.
