Jon Peters is an American film producer and former hairdresser born on June 2, 1945 in Van Nuys, California. Peters entered the film industry initially as a hairdresser before transitioning into production roles. Peters is credited as producer or executive producer on several notable films in Hollywood. Among these are the 1989 film Batman, for which Peters served as producer, and the 1992 sequel Batman Returns, where Peters held the role of executive producer. Peters also produced Superman Returns in 2006 and served as executive producer on Man of Steel in 2013. In comedy, Peters executive produced Caddyshack in 1980 and its 1988 follow-up Caddyshack II, and executive produced the 1986 sports drama Youngblood. Peters is also known professionally as John H. Peters.
