Julian Hutchens is an Australian visual-effects supervisor known for his work at Rising Sun Pictures (RSP). He was born in Melbourne and grew up with a strong interest in art, science and technology, often building mechanical projects, experimenting with electronics, taking photographs and playing music. His introduction to computer-generated imagery began in high school, where he taught himself early 3D software and created a 3D animated short film in his final year.
He studied Multimedia Design, gaining a broad foundation in visual communication, before accepting a government-funded internship at the post-production studio Complete Post.
