K. R. Vijaya, born on November 30, 1948, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is an Indian actress known for her work in South Indian cinema. She began her acting career in the 1960s and has been a prominent figure in the industry for over four decades. Vijaya made her debut in the Tamil film 'Kandhan Karunai' in 1967, playing the role of Deivaanai. She continued to act in various languages, including Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada, working with many renowned actors and directors of her time. One of her notable roles was in the Tamil film 'Ithiri Poove Chuvannapoove' in 1984, where she portrayed the character of Meenakshi. Vijaya's extensive career spans a wide range of roles, reflecting her versatility as an actress.
