Biography
Katsuji Oyamada is credited as Director of Photography in two films. In 1985, Oyamada worked on Love Hotel, a feature-length production where the role involved designing and executing the visual capture of the film’s imagery. The work required selecting camera setups, lighting schemes, and film stocks to achieve the intended look for scenes within the narrative.
In 2005, Oyamada again served as Director of Photography on Hentai taii: Iyarashii seikatsu. In this project, Oyamada was responsible for the photographic composition and technical execution of the film’s visuals, coordinating with the director to translate the intended mood and style into each shot. The position entailed overseeing camera operation, exposure control, and the overall visual consistency of the production.
