Kirk Hammett

Kirk Hammett is an American musician who has appeared in several film and television productions. Born on November 18, 1962 in San Francisco, California, Hammett is best known as the lead guitarist and songwriter for the heavy metal band Metallica. His film appearances include Metallica: Masters of Metal, a documentary from 2014, where Hammett appears as himself. He also featured as himself in VH1's 100 Most Shocking Music Moments from 2009. In 2015, Hammett appeared as himself in Metallica: Live in Munich, Germany - May 31, 2015, a concert film. These works focus on his role within Metallica, documenting performances and behind-the-scenes perspectives of the band’s work.
