Biography
Koji Tanaka is a Japanese director of photography and CGI producer associated with Production I.G. Working primarily in animation, Tanaka contributed to the visual development of several high-profile productions during the early 2010s. Their role involved overseeing the cinematographic elements of animated films, shaping lighting, composition, and visual texture to enhance narrative delivery.
Tanaka served as Director of Photography for multiple entries in the Ghost in the Shell: Arise series, including Border 2: Ghost Whispers (2013), Border 3: Ghost Tears (2014), and Border 5: Pyrophoric Cult (2015).
