They started as an Assistant Camera on the 1951 film "Miracle in Milan," directed by Vittorio De Sica. This early role provided a foundation for their career in the camera department. Later, Cristiani served as a Camera Operator for the 1965 film "I Knew Her Well," directed by Antonio Pietrangeli.
