Oliver Coates is a cellist, composer, and electronic music producer known for his work in the film industry. He is recognized for his musical contributions to several notable films. In 2014, Coates served as the musician for the science fiction film "Under the Skin," directed by Jonathan Glazer. He reprised his role as a musician in Paul Thomas Anderson's 2017 romantic drama "Phantom Thread." Coates is also set to compose the original music for upcoming projects, including "The History of Sound" and "Pillion," both slated for release in 2025, as well as "Frank & Louis," scheduled for 2026.
