Paul Stader was a stunt performer active in Hollywood during the mid-20th century. Born on February 13, 1911, in Neosho, Missouri, Stader worked in the stunt department of several films. One of his earliest credited roles was in the 1943 film Casablanca, where Stader contributed to stunt coordination. Decades later, Stader’s work appeared in the 1985 adventure film The Goonies, again in the stunt capacity.
Also credited under the names Paul B. Stader, Paul Stadler, and Paul Strader, Stader’s career spanned both classic and later-era Hollywood productions. His involvement in these films reflects the specialized role of stunt performers in executing physical sequences that support narrative and action. Stader died on April 10, 1991.
