His contributions to these films were significant, shaping their visual aesthetics and environments. Eggleston passed away on August 28, 2022. His final credit, "In Memory Of," appears in Pixar's upcoming film "Elemental" (2023). Prior to his death, Eggleston had won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for his work on "For the Birds."
