Ralph Riach was a Scottish actor born on January 26, 1936, in Elgin, Scotland, UK. Active in the film industry, Riach appeared in two credited roles during the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 1998, Riach portrayed Lorenzo Gritti in Dangerous Beauty, a historical drama set in Renaissance Venice. The film, based on the life of courtesan Veronica Franco, featured Riach in a supporting role alongside a cast led by Catherine McCormack and Rufus Sewell. Two years later, Riach took on the part of Lord Hubert Dacy in The House of Mirth (2000), an adaptation of Edith Wharton’s novel set in New York high society. Directed by Terence Davies, the film starred Gillian Anderson and Eric Stoltz, with Riach contributing to its ensemble cast.
