In 1998, Riach portrayed Lorenzo Gritti in Dangerous Beauty, a historical drama set in Renaissance Venice. The film, based on the life of courtesan Veronica Franco, featured Riach in a supporting role alongside a cast led by Catherine McCormack and Rufus Sewell.
