Robert Golden Armstrong, known professionally as R.G. Armstrong, was an American actor born on April 7, 1917, in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a veteran character actor, known for his extensive work in the film industry, particularly in Westerns, over a span of four decades. Armstrong's notable filmography includes "A Face in the Crowd" (1957), where he played the role of a Teleprompter Operator, although he was not credited for the part. Despite his extensive career, Armstrong is perhaps best recognized for his collaborations with director Sam Peckinpah.
