Richard C. Franklin is credited under the sound department across a range of American films from the mid-1980s to the late 1990s. Working primarily as a sound editor and supervising sound editor, Franklin contributed to projects spanning drama, fantasy, action, and comedy. In 1985, Franklin served as Sound Editor on The Breakfast Club. By 1989, Franklin held the role of Supervising Sound Editor on The Little Mermaid and also worked as Sound Editor on When Harry Met Sally....
In the early 1990s, Franklin continued to take on supervisory and editorial roles, including Supervising Sound Editor on Hook and Sound Editor on Misery, both released in 1990.
