Biography
Robert Anderson is credited in the film industry for contributions to animated cinema. In Toy Story 2 [1999], Anderson worked in the Layout department, a role involved in planning the spatial composition and camera angles before final animation. The film is recognized as a continuation of Pixar’s early 3D animation style, where layout artists help establish the visual framework for scenes.
Anderson later served as Director of Photography on Brave [2012], a Pixar feature set in a fantasy landscape. In this role, Anderson was responsible for overseeing the film’s visual presentation, including lighting, color palette, and overall photographic consistency. The film’s stylized animation relied on deliberate choices in these areas to enhance its storytelling.
