Sergio Corbucci

Sergio Corbucci, born on December 6, 1926, in Rome, Italy, was a renowned figure in the film industry. He is best known for his work as a director, with a notable contribution to the spaghetti western genre. Corbucci's filmography includes "The Great Silence" (1968), a violent yet intelligent western, which has since gained a significant following and is often compared to the works of Sam Peckinpah or Sergio Leone. His directorial credits also include "I Don't Understand You Anymore" (1980). More recently, he served as a thanks recipient in the 2019 film "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood". Corbucci was the older brother of screenwriter and film director Bruno Corbucci.
