Sergio Donati was an Italian screenwriter born on April 13, 1933 in Rome, Italy. Donati began writing professionally in the early 1950s, with early work including novels that were adapted for film. The transition from prose to screenwriting became his primary focus, leading to a career spanning more than seven decades and over 70 films.
Donati is best known for contributing additional dialogue to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly in 1966, a collaboration that highlighted Donati’s skill in crafting sharp, character-driven language. The film remains one of the most recognized works in his filmography.
