Biography
Tomoo Shimogawara is credited with art direction in two films from the late 1940s and early 1960s. In 1949, Shimogawara contributed to the visual design of Goodbye as part of the film’s art department. The work involved shaping the film’s environments to support the narrative, a role central to the craft of art direction in cinema.
Nearly fifteen years later, in 1962, Shimogawara again served as art director for Stolen Pleasure.
