Biography
Tuula Hilkamo worked in costume design for two Finnish films in the mid-1980s. Their contributions appeared in Shadows in Paradise, released in 1986, where they designed the clothing worn by characters throughout the film’s narrative. The following year, Hilkamo again provided costume design for Ariel, a production that followed a similar creative approach to visual storytelling through attire.
Hilkamo’s involvement in these projects placed them within the Finnish film industry’s costume department during that period. Their role focused on selecting and creating garments that aligned with the films’ settings and character arcs. The two credits represent the extent of the available record of their work in cinema.
