Ub Iwerks, born on March 24, 1901, in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, was a significant figure in the film industry. Known for his work in visual effects, Iwerks contributed to several notable productions. His first credited work was as a visual effects artist on "Alice in Wonderland" in 1951, followed by "Peter Pan" in 1953. Prior to these, Iwerks had also directed the short film "Laughing Gas" in 1931.
