Yukichi Iwata was a film actor active in the early decades of Japanese cinema. Born on March 23, 1887 in Ogaki, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, Iwata appeared in two recorded film projects during the early 1930s. In 1932, Iwata portrayed Kurobee Ōno in The Loyal 47 Ronin, a film based on the historical tale of the forty-seven rōnin. The production was part of the jidaigeki genre, a style of period drama that remained popular in Japanese cinema of that era.
In 1934, Iwata took on the role of Hattori Shosaku in Our Neighbor, Miss Yae, a film that likely featured domestic or contemporary settings given its title.
