During the final broadcast of Produce 101 Season 2 he ranked 1st with a total of 1,578,837 votes, being declared as the overall winner of Produce 101 Season 2 and given the center position of Wanna One.
Prior to appearing on Produce 101 Season 2, Daniel appeared on Her Secret Weapon as a backup dancer for Fiestar’s Cao Lu during her performance of “Invitation” by Uhm Jung-hwa.
