Alan Hale Jr. was born on March 8, 1921, in Los Angeles, California. He was the son of popular supporting film actor Alan Hale. Hale Jr. began his acting career in the film industry, appearing in various roles. One of his earliest credited roles was as a Courtier in the 1946 film "Monsieur Beaucaire." He also played the role of Robert Neary in the 1954 film "Young at Heart." Hale Jr. is perhaps best known for his role as Sundance Kid in the 1956 film "The Three Outlaws," which he appeared in under the name Alan Hale.
