Mozhdeh Shamsai

Mozhdeh Shamsai is an Iranian actress born on June 23, 1968 in Tehran. Shamsai entered cinema in the early 1990s, making her film debut in Mosaferan, directed by Bahram Beizae. The role marked the beginning of a career centered in Iranian cinema, where Shamsai became known for performances that drew critical attention.

Shamsai’s breakthrough came with the 2001 film Killing Mad Dogs, in which she portrayed Golrokh Kamali. The performance earned Shamsai the Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress at the Fajr Film Festival, establishing her as a leading figure in Iranian cinema during that period.
