He continued to work with prominent directors, appearing in films like "Rebel Without a Cause" (1955) as Desk Sergeant #2, and "Vertigo" (1958) as Capt. Hansen, both directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Bryar also had roles in "Mississippi Rhythm" (1949) as Sad Sam Beale and "Lust for Life" (1956) as Inspector.
