Sōji Ubukata

Sōji Ubukata was a performer active in Japanese cinema during the late 1950s. Born on March 29, 1908, Ubukata appeared in three science fiction and fantasy films produced by Toho Studios. In 1957, Ubukata portrayed Dr. Noda in The Mysterians, a film notable for its use of special effects and its contribution to the kaiju genre. The following year, Ubukata appeared in Varan, a fantasy adventure featuring a giant creature. In 1959, Ubukata took on a role in Vagabond Employee: Revenge Version, a drama with a revenge narrative.
