Among his earliest documented film credits is Find the Witness from 1937, where Andrews portrayed the District Attorney. His later roles included State of the Union in 1948, in which Andrews appeared as a Senator without credit.

In 1939, Andrews took part in Union Pacific, playing Dr. Harkness in an uncredited capacity. By 1956, Andrews had a credited role in The Three Outlaws, taking on the part of a Railroad President.
