He was active in the industry from the 1930s until his death in 1977. Bouchey's notable roles include an uncredited appearance as Army Lieutenant Colonel in the classic war film "From Here to Eternity" (1953). He also portrayed a Newspaper Editor in the Frank Capra comedy-drama "Pocketful of Miracles" (1961). Bouchey's other significant roles include Capt. Evans in the Korean War film "The Bridges at Toko-Ri" (1954) and Col. Edson Stedlow in the Western "Pillars of the Sky" (1956).
