Yukijiro Hotaru is a Japanese actor born on August 27, 1951 in Saitama, Japan. Active in film and television, Hotaru has appeared in a range of productions, often in supporting or character roles. Among his film credits are the psychological thriller Cure (1997), in which Hotaru portrayed Ichiro Kuwano, a detective investigating a series of murders. The actor also appeared in the horror films Teke Teke (2009) and Teke Teke 2 (2009), contributing to the franchise’s unsettling atmosphere.
Hotaru’s filmography includes genre-spanning works such as Detective Mitarai's Casebook: The Clockwork Current (2016), where Hotaru played Kohei Tominaga, and Sakura Guardian in the North (2018).
