Masao Shimizu was a Japanese actor who appeared in numerous films throughout his career. Born on October 5, 1908, in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, Shimizu's involvement in the film industry spanned several decades.
Shimizu's filmography includes notable roles in several critically acclaimed films. In Akira Kurosawa's Ikiru, released in 1952, Shimizu played the part of a Doctor. The following year, Shimizu appeared in Apostasy, and in 1949, he played Nakamura in Stray Dog. His portrayal of a Prison Warden in High and Low, released in 1963, is another notable credit in his filmography.
